Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and tracking technologies are used on klepa.it, for what purposes, and how you can manage your preferences, in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) guidelines of 10 June 2021, and the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites save on a user's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when they are visited. Cookies allow the website to remember the user's actions and preferences for a certain period, so they do not need to be re-entered on each visit.

In addition to cookies strictly speaking, we use similar technologies such as localStorage, tracking pixels and third-party scripts that collect behavioural data. The term "cookie" in this policy includes these technologies as well.

2. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function correctly and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are only set in response to actions you take that amount to a request for services, such as language preference, maintaining an authenticated session, or remembering cookie consent.

Session cookie (session_id): manages the authenticated user session. Duration: session (deleted when the browser is closed).

Consent cookie (klepa_consent): stores the preferences expressed in the cookie banner. Duration: 6 months. This cookie does not require consent as it is technical-functional.

CSRF token cookie: protection against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. Duration: session.

Language preference cookie (klepa_locale): remembers the language selected by the user. Duration: 12 months.

3. Analytical Cookies

Analytical cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the site by collecting and reporting information in anonymous or aggregated form. These cookies allow us to improve site performance and usability.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4): we use GA4 by Google LLC to collect aggregated statistics on visits (number of users, pages visited, session duration, traffic source). IP addresses are anonymised before processing. Data are transferred to Google LLC (USA) on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Cookies: _ga (2 years), _ga_XXXX (2 years), _gid (24 hours).

These cookies are only set AFTER the user has given consent via the cookie banner. In the absence of consent, GA4 operates in cookieless mode (Consent Mode v2 — aggregated data signals without personally identifiable data).

4. Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display relevant and engaging ads to individual users, making them more valuable to publishers and third-party advertisers.

Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): we use the Pixel by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. It collects information about user behaviour on our site to optimise ad delivery. Duration: up to 180 days. Data transferred to Meta Platforms Inc. (USA) on the basis of SCCs.

These cookies are only set AFTER the user's explicit consent for the "Marketing" category. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie preferences panel.

5. Google Consent Mode v2

Our site implements Google Consent Mode v2, which allows Google to adapt the behaviour of its products (Google Analytics, Google Ads) based on the user's expressed consent.

In the absence of consent to analytical and/or marketing cookies, Google continues to send aggregated signals free of personal data (data modelling) to enable statistical measurement without identifying individual users. These signals do not constitute personal data processing and do not require consent.

When consent is given, Google receives more precise measurement data associated with the user's session. Full integration with Consent Mode v2 ensures compliance with the ePrivacy Regulation and the Garante's guidelines.

6. Consent Duration and Renewal

Consent given via the cookie banner is valid for 6 months from the date it is provided. After 6 months, the banner is shown again on the next visit to allow the user to confirm or modify their preferences.

The user can modify or withdraw their preferences at any time before the 6-month expiry via the cookie preferences panel, accessible by clicking the link in the site footer ("Manage cookie preferences").

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent carried out before the withdrawal.

7. Managing Cookies via the Browser

In addition to the site's cookie preferences panel, cookies can also be managed via browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete and block cookies from any website.

Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.

Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.

Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.

Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.

Note: disabling all cookies via the browser may impair the correct functioning of some parts of the site (e.g. account login, language preference).

Google Analytics opt-out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Meta personalised advertising opt-out: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences.

8. Third Parties and External Links

The site may contain links to third-party websites or widgets (e.g. social network "Share" buttons). By clicking these links, the user will leave klepa.it and will be subject to the cookie and privacy policies of the destination sites, over which KLEPA has no control.

We recommend reading the privacy policy and cookie policy of each third-party site visited.

9. Updates to this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the cookies used, regulatory changes or updates to site practices. The updated version will be published on this page with the date of modification. In the event of material changes, a new consent banner will be displayed.

For further information on the processing of personal data, please refer to the full Privacy Policy available at /privacy-policy.
